Meta Appoints Marketing Veteran Arun Srinivas as Head of India Operations

Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, has announced the appointment of Arun Srinivas as the new Head of its India operations, effective July 1, 2025. The announcement is marking a significant leadership shift in one of Meta’s fastest-growing markets globally.

Srinivas will succeed Sandhya Devanathan, who has been elevated to an expanded role overseeing both India and South Asia. This strategic move highlights Meta’s focus on strengthening its leadership presence in the region.

A seasoned executive with over two decades of experience, Arun Srinivas serves as Director and Head of Ads Business at Meta India. Since joining the company in September 2020, he has played a key role in driving growth by working with India’s top advertisers and agency partners, and has focused on scaling Meta’s strategic priorities such as AI, Reels, and Messaging.

“Arun has been instrumental in advancing Meta’s mission in India, building deep relationships with key stakeholders, and leading high-impact ad solutions,” the company said in an official statement.

Before joining Meta, Srinivas held leadership roles across major organizations. He began his career as a product manager at Reebok in 1996, moved on to work with Unilever, and later served as Operating Advisor at WestBridge Capital. In 2019, he joined Ola as Chief Operating Officer and Global Chief Marketing Officer.

An alumnus of IIM Calcutta, Srinivas holds a PGDM in Marketing and a Bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Madras. His appointment signals Meta’s continued investment in India as a key market, especially as digital transformation and mobile internet adoption continue to soar across the region.
