Bratislava Hosts Women’s Peace Conference Focused on Quality Education and Global Challenges

BRATISLAVA, Slovakia — The Central European Conference of the Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) convened in Bratislava, under the theme “Quality Education for All – SDG 4: A Pathway Towards a Better World.” The international event brought together educators, peacebuilders, researchers, and civil society leaders to address the role of education in advancing sustainable development and global peace.

This year’s conference was co-organized by the ALLATRA International Public Movement and the Creative Society project, reflecting a joint commitment to promoting peace and tackling pressing global challenges through education.

Speakers from both organizations delivered presentations on environmental and social issues, including the health risks of microplastic pollution and the psychological impact of harmful media content on youth. The discussions highlighted the urgent need for holistic approaches to education that empower individuals to address contemporary global threats.

The event emphasized international collaboration as key to achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all.
