Day one of The Advanced Materials Show 2025 wrapped up successfully Wednesday at the NEC Birmingham, drawing a highly focused and engaged audience of engineers, researchers, and innovators from across the globe.
Co-located with The Advanced Ceramics Show, Battery Cells & Systems Expo and Vehicle Electrification Expo, the two-day event offers a dynamic showcase of the latest materials technologies, products and services. The show serves as a premier meeting ground for materials science professionals working across research, production, integration and purchasing.
Held in one of the U.K.’s leading R&D and manufacturing hubs, the show features seven dedicated content theatres, each designed to deliver sector-specific insights, innovations and actionable strategies.
Industry experts and innovators took to the stage throughout the day, including speakers from Goodfellow, the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), Pragmatic Semiconductor, KLA, the University of Manchester, HalioGen Power, Concretene, and Watercycle Technologies. Afternoon highlights included a packed session at the Advanced Carbons Council Stage, with presentations by Paragraf, Nanum Nanotecnologia SA, HydroGraph Clean Power Inc., and others.
The Technology Showcase drew crowds eager to learn about next-gen materials solutions from companies such as Hitachi High-Tech Europe, Inomorph Ltd, Graphene Composites Ltd, and Ionic Technologies.
The VIP Lounge, hosted by VIP Relationship Manager Sarah Daniels, welcomed industry leaders for networking and knowledge sharing.
The day concluded with dual networking receptions. Guests gathered at Stands 1049, 1062 and 1162 to toast the success of day one, with sponsorships from the Advanced Carbons Council and AMRICC (Applied Materials Research, Innovation and Commercialisation Company)—both organizations central to advancing innovation in engineered materials.
Day two will resumes Thursday with more expert-led panels, product launches, and collaborative opportunities for attendees across the advanced materials and ceramics sectors.
